It has been over a month since my last blog post and I apologize. Both a lot and a little have happened in the last month, On the 28th of November I had my last day of TAFE and I can honestly say it was one of the happiest days of the entire year for me. Although I was sad knowing that I would have to say goodbye to some of the most amazing people I have ever met, I also felt like a massive weight had been lifted off my shoulders - no more forcing myself to take photos of things I do not enjoy, no more unnecessary stress.
In the first week of December I had a meeting with the owner of a professional print lab in my area about a potential job opportunity, and I was so happy to receive an email the next day which told me I started on Monday! I have been working part time at the print lab, as well as coaching (on corresponding days) for the past 2 weeks so whenever I get a chance to relax I've made the most of it! I love the new job, I have already learned lots of new things, and met some really lovely people. I have been given the chance to do some photoshop work for clients there too, which makes me really happy!
So if you've ever met me...my level of excitement is possibly higher than that of a child when it comes to Christmas time. Mum and I went a little crazy this year and started buying presents in November and we always buy online, so as the weekdays went by we both would get overly excited when we hear the dogs bark for the postie's arrival. Mum has been baking lots of yummy things, and we got our Christmas tree last Sunday (Every year we get a real tree). Mum spent a lot of her teenage years living in America where Christmas is celebrated a lot more extensively than here, and I guess her spirit has just rubbed off onto me.
I know it has been a long time since I've shared any new photos, but I have a lot planned for the new year which I'm very excited about, and I hope you will be too.
For now enjoy the rest of the year, and I wish those of you who celebrate it a Merry Christmas.
Below are some happy snaps from the night we decorated the tree:
