This year, every single Sunday (except when we were travelling) my friends and I committed to catching up for coffee to discuss how our week went & goal set for the following week.
Statistics say if you have 5 broke friends, you’ll be the 6th. If you have 5 lazy friends, you’ll be the 6th. If you have 5 unhealthy friends, you’ll be the 6th.

Two years ago I became hugely aware of my circle of influence, I actually didn’t really have many close friends at all and decided it was time to change that.
I decided to spend time with people who were better than me and in turn that made me better.
Being friends with people like these guys isn’t like typical friendships - in fact sometimes its scarier ;) They won’t feel sorry for you if you’re facing a challenge - they’ll empower you to be better and be proud when you overcome it. These guys aren’t okay with excuses & definitely aren’t okay with laziness. Ive had challenges this year, and I’m so glad these people didnt just pat me on the back and just say “aw that sucks youll be fineeee" - these guys always made me become bigger than my problems & I’m hugely thankful for that.

Thank you for keeping me accountable to my goals, for helping me out of my comfort zone & for believing in me sometimes even more than I did myself.
Without you guys I wouldnt have spoke on stage this year, I wouldnt be public speaking almost every tuesday & I wouldn’t have known I could have grown past that shy awkward nervous girl.

Yesterday we reflected on 2015. We didn’t laugh about “how nothing had changed in an entire year” or joke that we planned to be healthy & successful but instead got “fat and broke”. (referring to 95% of end of year fb posts)
We spoke about the things we were proud we achieved, our satisfaction with the year, how we could lift it higher next year & our goals for 2016 and it made me feel so proud of all of us.

So going back to being the 6th friend:
I have (more than 5 now! ;)) strong, ambitious, empowering, brave, positive, TRAVEL DRIVEN (YAY), hilarious, fun, hugely successful friends.
Thank you guys for being people who aren’t comfortable being in the same place by the end of a year, or even a month.
I can’t wait for what the future has in stall for us & i would usually say if I can be even half as great as ya’ll ill be happy, but i plan to grow with you guys so na soz

I love yous.
