Rocky Pool Walk
"Let me tell the tale, of a girl who didn't stop. Who climbed up every mountain without a pause upon the top. She'd dance until each blade of grass was clothed in drops of dew, and the sun knew her by name but the silver moon did too. For fear had settled in her bones; a fear of sitting still. That if you're not moving forward, it must mean you never will. So in time her dance got slower and she'd looked at all she'd seen, but found gaps inside places that she'd never fully been. For she was a human doing, human moving, human seeing, but she'd never taken the time to simply be a human being." ~ e.h

I saw this poem and it sat with me for days, I couldn't stop thinking about it. I've always believed in setting goals & am so hard on myself about achieving them and about whether I'm sticking to the right pace, still for me one of my priorities is to always grow and move forward. Monotony is not in my personality and I can't understand people that are okay doing the same thing day in day out, but also in all honesty for me this year has been stressful and I haven't fully had time to breath and refocus. I am 22 and feel myself getting frustrated with where I'm at compared to where I have goals to be, and then I think about it - and I'm 22. I don't want to look back at these years and just remember stress & regret that I didn't spend more time enjoying the journey. Although I am still serious about working hard one resolution I've made is to separate work and play and dedicate time to switch off and go to new places, mainly because it's something that makes me incredibly happy and I live in Perth and have barely seen any of it!

I'm lucky I have some of the best friend's ever that enjoy doing the same thing. Today Crisp and I went to Rocky Pool Walk and I had way too much fun. I feel like a child again spending time with her, maybe its because we're highschool friends or maybe its because she is so playful and has such a fun spirit. Today consisted of stopping at Kalamunda heritage village and being scared by fake mannequins, pretending to drive old trucks, an amazing lunch, trying not to fall over, rocky pool walk, almost dying crossing a river and making new friends in the process, and then taking the zig zag scenic drive home.

Thanks Crisp for an amazing day.

Should probably get better at narrowing my photos down a little but I like them all I'm sorry :')
